What are the system requirements for running GetRecap products?

  • Windows XP SP3/2003/Vista or above
  • .Net Framework 2.0 or higher (included to Windows Vista)
  • Intel Pentium III (Celeron), 600 MHz or above
  • 256 Mb RAM or above
  • 100 Mb of free space on your hard disk

How many records can I save in the recapping process?

You can save up to five recap files and up to 15 records with the saved and edited results. Please save the recap files immediately after processing to your hard drive or other storage device. The online service only provides short-term storage of your files in case of connection problems.

What special features refer to the processing of saved documents?

GetRecap products allow the processing of archives with the following formats: zip, rar, arj, 7z, tar, and gz. If the archive contains several documents GetRecap products will only summarize one of these documents.

What other data can GetRecap process?

GetRecap supports the following formats: txt, rft, doc,docx, pptx, html/htm, xml, pdf, odp, odt/sxw, zip, rar, eml, arj, 7z, tar, and gz. Unfortunately, PDF files are not processed at this time.

What is the "History" function?

The "History" function shows which files you've gathered in the past. If you do not want to use this function, simply disable this feature.

Is the content of my files protected?

The administrator will not review the content of your files. It is strictly confidential and not divulged to third parties. The user of GetRecap products is responsible for stored data.

What are the restrictions on file size?

Any registered GetRecap product can summarize files up to 25 megabytes. The GetRecap demo can process text files with a maximum of 1000 words and up to 3000 characters for free.
